Our Leadership Team

Having grown up in the business his father founded in 1994, Tom Lambert worked his way through every role—from technician to service advisor—before taking over as owner. Under his leadership, the shop has seen steady growth, driven by a focus on quality, employee development, and an outstanding customer experience. Tom is passionate about building a fun, motivated team culture and remains committed to giving back to the Layton community.

Our fearless leader Brian Bassett is the Manager here at Shadetree.  He has been in the auto repair industry since the 90’s.  Brian grew up with the shop Owner Tom. They have been friends since grade school and have built a trusting relationship over the years.  Brian has a background of working for a small independent repair shop, a large corporation Bridgestone/Firestone, owned and sold his own shop in Bountiful and now we are lucky enough to utilize all that experience to grow our team here at Shadetree.  Brian and Tom are currently working together to help Brian become the next owner of the business over the next decade.

Brian is married to his amazing wife Megan.  They have a beautiful family of four daughters, one son and just recently had their first grand daughter.  Outside of work, Brian enjoys taking his kids to competitive soccer, camping, boating, riding ATVs, and going to concerts.

Braiden Reich is the marketing specialist at Shadetree Automotive, where he plays a key role in sharing the shop’s story and connecting with the community. With a sharp creative eye and a deep understanding of digital trends, Braiden manages everything from social media and content creation to branding and outreach campaigns. His work ensures that Shadetree’s values—integrity, quality, and customer care—shine through every post, video, and promotion. Whether he’s highlighting team achievements, showcasing behind-the-scenes moments, or engaging with customers online, Braiden helps keep Shadetree top-of-mind and always growing.

Cindy Lambert, co-owner of Shadetree Automotive and wife of Tom Lambert, plays a vital behind-the-scenes role in shaping the shop’s welcoming atmosphere and positive team culture. With a natural eye for design and a passion for people, Cindy ensures the shop always feels fresh, clean, and inviting—for both customers and staff. She’s also the heart of team morale, consistently finding ways to make employees feel appreciated, valued, and supported. From thoughtful touches around the shop to planning team events, Cindy helps create the kind of environment where great work—and great relationships—can thrive.

Russ is our most experienced service advisers. He has been on our team since 2014. Russ loves people and loves to build relationships. He has a great balance of technical knowledge and communication skills that makes him the top requested adviser. Russ is well versed on all makes and models but is specifically passionate about Toyota’s. He was working as a Toyota representative up until joining our team. He currently owns Toyota and Lexus vehicles and has owned and modified several in the past for high offroad capabilities.

Russ and his lovely wife are raising a son and a daughter. Russ is a passionate hunter and off roader. He also enjoys traveling with his family when Tom actually lets him out of the office..haha.

Tyler just might be the most caring person you will ever meet. Tyler’s main role these days at Shadetree is dispatching. He works hard every day to keep our technicians organized and productive. Tyler’s attention to detail is a huge help for our whole team. Combine his attention to detail with his genuine care for his coworkers and clients, and you just can’t help but call Tyler one of your favorite human beings.

Tyler got his start at Shadetree as a teenager years ago as our shop helper. He then spent many years in the power sports and off-road vehicle industry before coming back home where he belongs. Tyler’s top passion outside of work is riding his dirt bike. Tyler and our shop owner Tom have been dirt bike riding buddies for well over a decade now.
