No matter how great an auto repair shop is, the one thing that makes the biggest difference is who is actually working on your car. As the owner, I do everything in my power to provide processes, training, and quality control, but when it comes down to it, our shop is only as good as the mechanic who is working on your car or truck. One of my greatest accomplishments in life has been assembling this awesome team of auto repair technicians.
TYLER
Tyler is our shop foreman that leads this awesome group of mechanics. He loves to diagnose all the hard problems that most mechanics cringe about. We have many shops in our area, and even dealerships, that bring problematic cars to Tyler to diagnose when their mechanics can’t figure it out.
Tyler is amazing at diagnosing anything we throw at him and he loves it. Our shop’s reputation for diagnosing and repairing any type of problem would not be where it is today without the hard work of this guy.
Tyler is also our European vehicle specialist. Tyler started his career working for the only BMW dealer in Utah. He went through the factory BMW/Mini training before working side by side with his mentor in the shop. He spent many years working there and then left the dealer to follow his mentor to an independent European Specialist shop.
Although his mentor was one of the best in the industry at diagnosing and repairing European vehicles, it turned out he wasn’t the best at operating the business. We were lucky to be introduced to Tyler years ago and bring him onto our team. We are now known as one of the only European car specialists in Layton and the surrounding area.

Justin
Justin is our lead mechanic and has been working on our team since 2007. He enjoys diagnosing and repairing all makes and models. Although he is well-versed in all makes and models, he has spent additional focus on Audi and Volkswagen models.
Justin is a very productive mechanic and he has the mindset and process to get a lot of work done throughout his day, but his work area and tools are always clean and organized. It is amazing to watch him work. We recently renovated a section of the shop that allows enough space for Justin and his apprentice, Michael, to have three vehicles in at time. Justin and his apprentice are utilized often for our major repairs like engines, transmissions, and timing components.

Juan
Juan is the happiest mechanic you will ever meet. He has been on our team since 2010. Juan enjoys diagnosing and repairing all makes and models. He is most known for his focus on Subaru vehicles. If you have ever driven by our shop, you have likely seen his smiling face on our sign showcasing him as our Subaru mechanic.
All of our mechanics have high standards for work quality. We have a process for tracking each mechanic’s accuracy of diagnosis and repairs. Juan is steadily the most accurate and has the highest quality of repairs. Juan and his apprentice, Dallin, are utilized for a good mix of diagnosing concerns, performing suspension repairs, and engine repairs.

Julian
Julian has been on our team since 2013. He is an amazing mechanic and a very humble guy. We utilize Julian for a wide range of repairs. He is one of the best in the business at performing timing chain repairs.
Like all of our mechanics, Julian works on all makes and models. He has spent additional efforts to become our Ford, Dodge, and Ram specialist. With the large amount of fleet vehicles we service, we have a large amount of Ford, Dodge, and Ram vehicles coming through our shop; especially Ford trucks. We utilize Julian for a lot of our major repairs like timing chains, engines, and transmissions.

Jim
Jim joined our team in 2020. He grew up in Wyoming as is one of the most calm and humble mechanics you will meet. While in Wyoming, he worked as a fleet mechanic for the school district. That experience gave him a great understanding of diesel engines and fleet vehicles.
When he moved to Utah, he worked for one of the other great independent shops in Northern Utah, up until they sold the business. We were lucky enough to be introduced to Jim and convinced him to join our team of mechanics. We utilize Jim for all types of repairs, but he is most commonly working on diesel trucks due to the amount of fleets we service. Ford PowerStroke, Chevrolet Duramax, Sprinters, Dodge/Ram Cummins, and all the gas engine trucks, are right in Jim’s wheelhouse.

Dillon
Dillon joined our team of mechanics in 2019. He is our Honda and Acura specialist; he knows them inside and out and loves them. When Dillon started his career as a mechanic, he wanted nothing else other than to work for Honda. He spent his whole career before meeting us at a local Honda dealership. He loved the work but unfortunately the shop he was working for did not align with his morals.
It took a lot of convincing to get him to join our team of mechanics but we are grateful he finally said yes. We utilize Dillon for all types of things, but it is completely obvious his passion is all Honda. Dillon’s love for Honda vehicles, combined with his attention to detail, makes him the best of the best. If you are a Honda owner, you will want to get to know him!

Michael
Michael just might be the most intelligent person in our building. Hel joined our team in 2022 and works directly with our lead technician, Justin. Although Michael’s job title is apprentice, he is more capable at diagnosing and repairing vehicles than most lead technicians.
Michael has advanced more in the last year working with Justin than we could have ever imagined. It honestly shouldn’t even be possible. He always has his head down and working hard. We are super proud of his advancement so far and have high expectations for him over the next decade.

Dallin
We recently hired Dallin to be Juan’s apprentice. Dallin is in his third year of Weber State’s Automotive program. He has already received his associates degree but is now specializing in Hybrids and Electric vehicles.
Dallin does an awesome job of balancing his school and work schedule. He is a pleasure to be around and has definitely restored our faith in this younger generation. We don’t know if we’ve ever seen Dallin without a big smile on his face, so he fits in great working with Juan.
