Tyler is amazing at diagnosing anything we throw at him, and he loves it. Our shop’s reputation for diagnosing and repairing any type of problem would not be where it is today without the hard work of Tyler. 

Tyler is also our European vehicle specialist. Tyler started his career working for the only BMW dealer in Utah. He went through the factory BMW/Mini training before working side by side with his mentor in the shop. He spent many years there working and then left the dealer to follow his mentor to an independent European Specialist shop.

We were lucky to be introduced to Tyler years ago and bring him onto our team. We are now known as one of the only European car specialists in Layton and the surrounding area.

Justin is our lead mechanic and has been working on our team since 2007. He enjoys diagnosing and repairing all makes and models. Although he is well-versed in all makes and models, he has spent additional focus on Audi and Volkswagen models.

Justin is a very productive mechanic and he has the mindset and process to get a lot of work done throughout his day, and his work area and tools are always clean and organized. It is amazing to watch him work. We recently renovated a section of the shop that allows enough space for Justin and his apprentice, Michael, to have three vehicles in at time. Justin and his apprentice are utilized often for our major repairs like engines, transmissions, and timing components.

Dillon has been on our team since 2018 and is one of the most consistent, dependable guys you will ever meet. He is our in-house Honda expert and has built a reputation for knowing those vehicles inside and out. If it’s a Honda, Dillon has probably seen it, fixed it, and made it run better than it ever has.

These days, Dillon works side by side with Justin in our west wing as an apprentice on paper, but anyone who works with him knows he is far more than that. Dillon has one of the strongest work ethics in the building. His eye for quality and detail is incredible, and the pride he takes in every repair shows in the end result.

Over the last couple of years, Dillon has teamed up with Justin to gain more experience in European vehicle repair and diagnostics. He has pushed himself to take on harder work, new systems, and more advanced problems — and he is doing an amazing job. His growth has been steady and impressive.

Dillon has been a key player on our team for nearly seven years now. He shows up, works hard, cares about his craft, and makes our shop better every day.

Julian has been on our team since 2013. He is an amazing mechanic and a very humble guy. We utilize Julian for a wide range of repairs. He is one of the best in the business at performing timing chain repairs.

Like all of our mechanics, Julian works on all makes and models. He has spent additional efforts to become our Ford, Dodge, and Ram specialist. With the large amount of fleet vehicles we service, we have a large amount of Ford, Dodge, and Ram vehicles coming through our shop; especially Ford trucks. We utilize Julian for a lot of our major repairs like timing chains, engines, and transmissions.

Juan is the happiest mechanic you will ever meet. He has been on our team since 2010. Juan enjoys diagnosing and repairing all makes and models. He is most known for his focus on Subaru vehicles. If you have ever driven by our shop, you have likely seen his smiling face on our sign showcasing him as our Subaru mechanic.

All of our mechanics have high standards for work quality. We have a process for tracking each mechanic’s accuracy of diagnosis and repairs. Juan is steadily the most accurate and has the highest quality of repairs.  He provides a good mix of diagnosing concerns, performing suspension repairs, and engine repairs.

In just a few short years, Michael has become one of our go-to technicians for initial diagnostics. He is one of the most reliable people in the building when it comes to difficult electrical diagnostics and vehicle programming. This type of work requires patience, accuracy, and a deep understanding of modern vehicles, and Michael handles it extremely well.

Michael fits our culture of honesty and hard work perfectly. He shows up every day ready to work, keeps his head down, and takes pride in doing things the right way. He is one of the sharpest minds in the shop and also one of the most quick witted and enjoyable people to be around.

Outside of work, Michael is a local family man with a young son and an amazing wife. We appreciate everything Michael does for our team and look forward to growing with him over the years to come.

Jim joined our team in 2020. He grew up in Wyoming as is one of the most calm and humble mechanics you will meet.  While in Wyoming, he worked as a fleet mechanic for the school district. That experience gave him a great understanding of diesel engines and fleet vehicles.

When he moved to Utah, he worked for one of the other great independent shops in Northern Utah, up until they sold the business. We were lucky enough to be introduced to Jim and convinced him to join our team of mechanics. We utilize Jim for all types of repairs, but he is most commonly working on diesel trucks due to the amount of fleets we service. Ford Power Stroke, Chevrolet Duramax, Sprinters, Dodge/Ram Cummins, and all the gas engine trucks, are right in Jim’s wheelhouse.

He has a strong passion for Chevy vehicles and is especially talented when it comes to diesel trucks. Whether it’s a tough drivability concern, a complex repair for a young guy O’Brian consistently delivers high-quality results with efficiency and precision.

O’Brian takes great pride in his work and brings a focused, professional mindset to the shop every day. His ability to handle difficult jobs while maintaining productivity makes him a huge asset to both the team and our customers.

Outside of work, O’Brian enjoys playing soccer and has been actively playing with his friends since 2023. The teamwork, discipline, and competitive spirit he brings to the field carry over into the shop as well.

Known for his precision and attention to detail, Tristan takes pride in doing things right the first time. His ability to work on complex suspension and performance setups makes him a valuable asset in the shop, especially for customers looking to improve both capability and ride quality.

Beyond his technical skills, Tristan brings a positive, fun energy to the workplace. He’s a genuinely happy, easygoing person who’s great to be around and always enjoyable to talk with the kind of teammate who makes the shop a better place every day.

Outside of work, Tristan is married and enjoys rock climbing both indoors and outdoors with his wife. Whether he’s fine-tuning suspension systems or tackling a challenging climb, Tristan brings the same focus, passion, and enthusiasm to everything he does.

In a very short period of time, Jose has grown tremendously in both skill and confidence. He takes pride in doing things the right way and approaches every vehicle with care, attention to detail, and a great attitude. His positive energy and dedication make him not only a great technician in training, but also an inspiration to those around him.

Jose has a particular passion for GM trucks and SUVs and is especially knowledgeable when it comes to GMC vehicles. He owns a GMC Yukon himself and is often the go-to technician when GM vehicles roll into the shop, including the District Manager’s truck.

Outside of the shop, Jose is an extremely talented artist who can draw animated cartoon characters with incredible skill. He’s also been an avid skateboarder since the 9th grade, a hobby that reflects his creativity, discipline, and determination.

We’re proud to have Jose on our team and excited to watch him continue to grow into an outstanding technician.

Ryan is a solid technician who shows up ready to work and takes pride in doing things the right way. He is honest, hardworking, and dependable, and his positive attitude brings a noticeable boost to shop morale. He is the kind of teammate people enjoy working alongside and can always be counted on to help keep the day moving in the right direction.

Outside of the shop, Ryan is a family man with a young daughter and a wonderful wife. We truly value Ryan’s presence on our team and look forward to growing and succeeding together for many years to come.
