Tire Rotation and Repair
We have a full tire replacement and repair shop. The advantage to utilizing Shadetree Automotive for your tire needs is, that you get the A-level mechanics to service your vehicle taking care of your tires as well. The experience level of our mechanics vs. the average mechanic at a tire shop should give you peace of mind that your vehicle is being properly cared for.
Tire rotation is a crucial part of properly maintaining your vehicle. The number one cause of a tire wearing abnormal and needing replacement is a lack of regular tire rotations. Generally speaking, vehicles wear out the edges on the front tires faster than the rear tires. This is due to the additional weight of the engine being over the front tires. So if you don’t rotate your tires front to back regularly, you will end up with front tires worn out on the edges while the rear tires still have plenty of treads. It is important to simply ask us to rotate your tires from front to rear every time the vehicle is in the shop for an oil service. This makes it easy to remember and easy for us to do as the vehicle is already in the shop and on the hoist.
Tire repairs are important to have done by a qualified mechanic. We can all agree that our tires are an important part of our safety going down the road. If you pick up a nail or other object, it is important to have an experienced mechanic determine if the tire can be repaired safely or if it requires replacement. If it is repairable, it is then important to have it repaired properly to keep you safe and avoid the inconvenience of a flat.
The tire pressure monitoring system on vehicles is becoming more complicated. It is helpful that we have experienced mechanics that know how to reset this system so we don’t have the annoying tire pressure warning light on in our dash. Our mechanics also have the knowledge and equipment to diagnose the TPMS system if there is ever a problem.
